Microfibre is a man made material comprised of polyester and polyamide. The polyester is effective for cleaning and the polyamide is an absorbent and quick drying fiber. Each microscopic strand has been split so millions of tiny hooks attract and absorb dirt and grime, without damaging the surface. Use DRY: Microfibre cloth uses static electricity to clean and polish glass, dash, instruments etc, without chemicals. Use DAMP (not wet): to clean off stubborn marks leaving a streak free finish, again without chemicals.
